this was a really great stay for 4 nights. we enjoyed the room, it was elegant and had a sofa bed, central heating, and coffee/tea making equipment. location: the hotel was right by great restaurants, shops, gelato, and live music, the centre, and city center and park where antique market is.

The location magnificent and handy in the piazza. Based close enough to the Railway Station and the Old Town, and impressive historical center of Arezzo.

Fantastic, friendly and helpful reception staff - we were given an upgrade to a magnificent room. Very helpful advice on the city's sights and recommendation to a restaurant accross the street run by a real character of a nonna - such a great experience that we ate in the same restaurant 2 nights in a row - which we very seldom do. The hotel is located in an old building on the upper floor, with a non-descript corridor leading to the elevator, but once you enter the hotel premises, they are great.
The hotel comes with free parking - but the parking is about 10 minutes away by foot at another of their hotel locations. Given the scarcity of hotel locations with parking, this is not really a problem. You go to the hotel location firs, leave the car at the curb across from the hotel and they give you instructions on how to get to the parking.

The personnel was very kind and attentive. I had a balcony with very nice view. Very warm and nice blankets.
It's nice hotel but not 4 stars. The heating was not working well, even with A/C on was a bit cold. There are no eggs for breakfast and breakfast is rather limited.

Loved the room; its style, sense of space and elegance. Loved it's proximity to train station and it was central to the old town and everything we wanted to see.

We had ordered a twin room but were given a double. When the mistake was pointed out, the problem was resolved immediately. The hotel was close to the main tourist sites and across the road on the main street was a disabled car parking space which we were able to use. Overall staying in the Hotel Portici was a reasonably-priced and positive experience. I would stay there again

Location, space in rooms, breakfast was very good, staff that was incredibly friendly, no noise from other rooms.
Such a minor thing -- slippery rug on marble floor in bedroom that could have caused a fall.
